On this site you can find information about the Battle of Arnhem and especially about the monuments, which were established in the Arnhem area after World War II.
The Battle of Arnhem took place in September 1944 as a part of Operation Market Garden, the largest Airborne operation ever. 35000 paratroopers were dropped in three seperate areas in order to occupy the bridges from the Belgian border to Arnhem.
